Nashville Children’s Alliance

The Nashville Children’s Alliance (NCA), formerly the Nashville Child Advocacy Center, is a nonprofit organization providing services to children when there are allegations of sexual or severe physical abuse. The Nashville Children’s Alliance is a unique partnership with the Office of the District Attorney General, the Department of Children’s Services and the Metropolitan Police Department working together for the detection, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse. NCA was started in 1992 by a dedicated group of community professionals and volunteers who believed that children deserved a coordinated approach by the professionals working on these difficult cases.

The Nashville Children’s Alliance is a child advocacy center and is a fully accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance. Forensic interviews are provided by specially trained professionals when there are allegations of abuse. Children, including Spanish speaking children, receive therapy from qualified therapists who are trained to provide mental health services to child abuse victims. There are English and Spanish speaking support groups for non-offending parents/caregivers of children who have been abused. All services are provided at absolutely no cost to the families that we serve.

THE NASHVILLE CHILDREN’S ALLIANCE WAS THERE TO HELP

The Nashville Children’s Alliance is a non-profit organization that provides free services to children in Davidson County who have experienced sexual or severe physical abuse.

Some of these services include the front line interview to assist in determining if abuse has occurred, weekly therapy sessions, court support, crisis services to families, and non-offending parent support groups. The Nashville Children’s Alliance works with the Police Department, District Attorney’s Office, and the Department of Children’s Services to make sure NO child falls through the cracks through regular reviews of every case. The Nashville Children’s Alliance also provides team training for these organizations on issues related to children who have suffered abuse and their ongoing needs.
