Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this morning’s shooting that injured the driver of a westbound Lincoln Town Car on I-24.

The driver, DeAndre Person, 22, and his three passengers, Terae Person, 20, Davon Dixon, 19, and Jeffery Middleton, 32, reported they had left Klub Cirok on Murfreesboro Pike and were traveling on I-24 when shots were fired at them from a white four-door sedan. DeAndre Person was struck in the shoulder. He exited the Interstate just before 3 a.m. and drove to Love’s Travel Stop at 130 Trinity Lane. DeAndre Person was treated for a minor injury and was released from the hospital. No one else was hurt.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
