SWAT officers assigned to the Special Response Team Monday night arrested murder suspect John Travis Baker at a home in the 1600 block of Essex Avenue.
Baker, 27, is under indictment for the December 14, 2011 shooting death of Calvin Davis, Jr., 27, outside his apartment in the Noah’s Landing complex on Murfreesboro Pike. Hermitage Precinct detectives had been searching for Baker since his indictment last Friday on charges of first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery. Baker’s bond was set by a Criminal Court judge at $750,000.
SWAT officers assigned to the Special Response Team this afternoon arrested accused murderer Antonio Flenoy as he hid in the restroom of a unit at the Rodeway Inn on W. Trinity Lane. Officers found Flenoy while following up on information developed by the North Precinct’s Investigative Unit.
Flenoy, 24, is named in a criminal homicide warrant charging him with the January 20th shooting death of Tashelle Vaughn, 21, inside Vaughn’s apartment in the Charter Village complex on Rio Vista Drive. Flenoy and Vaughn were acquaintances.
SWAT officers assigned to the police department’s Special Response Team Monday night apprehended accused murderer Joshua Carter at 689 Lewis Street. Carter, 27, was unarmed at the time of the arrest.
Carter is named in warrants charging criminal homicide and aggravated robbery for the May 6th shooting death of Jordan Gardner in a parking lot across the street from the Out of Bounds nightclub on Murfreesboro Pike. A witness to the shooting identified Carter as the gunman.
Carter, who has prior felony convictions for facilitation of 2nd degree murder and possession of cocaine for resale, is now jailed in lieu of $1.2 million bond.
