Zoo Run Run Set for January 21

Nashville TN - Unleash the beast and stick to those New Year’s resolutions at the 10th annual Zoo Run Run on Saturday, Jan. 21. Whether you run like a tiger or enjoy a more turtle-like pace, this 5K run/walk takes you through the Zoo’s 188-acre property past favorite habitats like the African Savannah and on roads and trails not normally seen by the public.

Nashville Zoo will close to the public at 1 p.m. on Jan. 21 to prepare for the Zoo Run Run.  Registration and check-in begins at 1:30 p.m., and the race starts at 3 p.m. Families and children are encouraged to bundle up as they hit the trail, and strollers with all-terrain tires are recommended. A post-run dinner and awards presentation begins at 4 p.m.
Advance registration is $37 for Zoo members, $40 for non-members and $23 for children (ages 5-12). Day-of-race registration is $45 per adult and $25 for children (ages 5-12). Children ages 4 years old and younger are free. For more information or to register, visit www.nashvillezoo.org or call 615-833-1534 ext. 129.

All proceeds from the Zoo Run Run help fund Zoo operations, from providing education programs for children, feeding our collection of over 1,300 animals and keeping our Zoo safe and clean for our visitors.
