The Nashville Police Department’s Warrants Division has created an online tool to assist citizens in reporting persons wanted on outstanding criminal charges.
Citizens who have knowledge of a wanted person’s whereabouts are urged to visit http://www.police.nashville.org/bureaus/investigative/warrants.asp and click on the Report Wanted Criminals Online link. Citizens can access this information from computers or smart phones. Persons can also contact the Criminal Warrants Division at 862-7683.
“Information provided by citizens plays an important role in removing wanted criminals from our neighborhoods,” Chief Steve Anderson said. “This new online tool is part of the police department’s continuing efforts to work closely with the community to enhance safety.”
Citizens who contact the Warrants Division can remain anonymous. This new tool is in addition to Crime Stoppers. Citizens who contact Crime Stoppers by phone, text or Internet can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
