South Precinct detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the gunman who Saturday night robbed the Subway at 769 Bell Road.

The robber entered the restaurant at 8:40 p.m. and demanded cash from the clerk at gunpoint. He fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late teens with dreadlocks pulled back into a ponytail. He is approximately 6’1” tall with a thin build. He wore a yellow hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

South Precinct detectives are working to identify the gunman who early Tuesday morning robbed the Daily’s at 312 Harding Place.

The suspect entered the store just before 5 a.m. and forced the clerk at gunpoint into an office where the manager was preparing the deposit. He fled the store on foot with cash.

The suspect is a black man who appears to be in his late teens or early 20s with a goatee. He is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

Charles Connor, 53, faces multiple charges including attempted homicide and aggravated assault after he shot two hostages and fired at a police officer early this morning inside his Madison apartment on Cheyenne Boulevard.

Kevin Dale Lowe, 49, told investigators he drove Fancy O’Neal Luckey, 36, to Connor’s apartment. An argument broke out between the three. A neighbor called police at 12:30 a.m. to report hearing a loud argument and shots fired inside Connor’s apartment.

Patrol officers arrived and made emergency entry into the apartment but quickly exited after seeing a gunman and hostage. SWAT officers assigned to the Special Response Team responded and established a perimeter.

Additional shots were heard around 1:45 a.m. and SWAT officers entered the apartment. Connor shot at Officer John Hutcheson who returned fire but did not strike anyone. Officer Hutcheson was not injured. Connor had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to his foot and was taken into custody. He was treated and released into police custody.

Luckey, of Dupont Avenue, and Lowe, of Goodlettsville, were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Lowe is in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the leg. Luckey, who was shot in the chest, is in critical but stable condition.

There was evidence of drug use inside the apartment.

Connor has been arrested over 40 times with convictions for assault, reckless endangerment with a motor vehicle, DUI, and unlawful weapon and drug possession.

The suspect entered the restaurant at 10:40 p.m. and ordered food before demanding cash from the register. The clerk complied. The robber fled on foot.

The suspect is a black man who appears to be in his late teens or early 20s. He is approximately 6’1” tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

The admitted gunman in the December 26th robbery of the Shell Convenience Market at 1110 Bell Road surrendered this afternoon at police headquarters and has been booked on a charge of aggravated robbery.

Kevon Lamar Wilson, 21, of Kirkwood Avenue, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.  He also told South Precinct detectives where to find the pistol.  It was recovered.

Wilson’s co-defendant, Derontae Teasley, 18, surrendered to detectives Wednesday evening.  Teasley was identified by the Shell clerk as the man who punched him in the head during the robbery while Wilson held the gun.

East Precinct detectives are working to identify the gunman who early Tuesday morning robbed the Citgo at 500 Main Street.

The suspect entered the store at 1 a.m. and demanded cash at gunpoint. He is a white man in his 20s who has a teardrop tattoo next to his right eye and short sandy brown hair. He is approximately 5’8” tall with an average build.

The suspect entered the restaurant at 8:35 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. He fled on foot.

The suspect is a black man in his 20s who is approximately 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.

He entered the store at 9:20 p.m. and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied and the robber fled in a maroon Saturn sedan with damage to the front driver’s side.

The suspect is a black man who is approximately six feet tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt with knee-length blue jean shorts.

The investigation into Wednesday night’s shooting of Joel Andrew Holmes in the parking lot of Summit Apartments on Mountain High Drive in South Nashville shows that Holmes was the specific target of a planned assassination.

Holmes, 28, of Lavergne, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

South Precinct detectives during the night arrested Barry Dean Haislip, Jr. for shooting Holmes. Haislip, 25, was located at his 5327 Eulala Drive home at 3:45 a.m. He is now jailed on a charge of attempted criminal homicide.

Holmes arrived at the apartment complex just after 7 p.m. last night to meet his estranged wife for the purpose of dropping off their two children, ages five and one. Shortly after Holmes arrived, Haislip, by his admission, walked up and shot him.

The investigation is continuing. Additional arrests have not been ruled out.

Haislip is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

    The robber entered the store at 9:30 p.m. and immediately told the clerk to open the register at gunpoint. He then walked around the counter and took cash from the drawer before fleeing on foot.

    The robber is described as a Hispanic man. He is approximately 5’10” tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds, and wore a bandana to cover his face.
