South Precinct detectives are working to identify the gunman who Thursday night robbed the Taco Bell at 4000 Nolensville Pike.

The suspect entered the restaurant at 10:40 p.m. and ordered food before demanding cash from the register. The clerk complied. The robber fled on foot.

The suspect is a black man who appears to be in his late teens or early 20s. He is approximately 6’1” tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

South Precinct detectives are working to identify the man who on June 21 robbed the Cricket Wireless at 5757 Nolensville Pike.

The man entered the business at 10:15 a.m., jumped the counter and demanded cash from the clerk at knifepoint. After taking money from the register, the suspect tied up the clerk and fled on foot.

The suspect is a black man with short hair. He is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds.

Arrest warrants are outstanding charging violent ex-convict Mark Douglas Holloway with slashing the arm of a Wal-Mart security worker during a shoplifting confrontation at the 4040 Nolensville Pike store late Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old security worker stopped Holloway and his friend, Kimberly Kathavong, who attempted to leave the store after they were observed shoplifting cameras and women’s underwear. During the confrontation, Holloway pulled a razor blade with a black handle and cut the security worker, inflicting a laceration that required more than ten stitches. Holloway, 47, fled on foot. Kathavong, 21, was detained. She is presently jailed on charges of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor theft. Identical warrants are outstanding against Holloway.

Holloway was convicted of multiple aggravated robbery counts in 1992, several burglary counts in 1985, and auto burglary & felony theft in 2008 (for which he received a total sentence of four years).

Kathavong was convicted of shoplifting from the Hamilton Church Road Wal-Mart in May 2010. She is presently being held in lieu of $40,000 bond.

South Precinct detectives are working to identify two men believed to have snatched two women’s purses during separate recent incidents at the Wal-Mart at 4040 Nolensville Pike.

In the first case, the victim was shopping when a suspect grabbed her purse from her cart and ran. A short time later, she was notified that someone had attempted to use her bank card.

About an hour later, a woman was in the parking lot with a cart full of groceries. When she turned around to unlock her vehicle, a man grabbed her purse from the cart and ran to a black and orange Hyundai sedan driven by the second suspect.

The suspects are described as black men. The suspect who took the purses is in his early 20s and may have a small scar on his face. He is approximately 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
